Rolling with My Homies

Today I'm back on the search for a job. It's a rather dull existence, not helped by the fact that I only need something to fill the next three months, so I thought in-between sending my CV out I would catch up on the weekend that I just had.

On Friday (after being stuck in standstill traffic for an hour) I was finally reunited with my friend Rosie! I've mentioned her a few times on here, but she is a great friend of mine from Southampton. We used to work together, firstly in H&M and then when we got grown up jobs after University in a Communications department (she was actually my manager, but I won't hold that against her). She is one of the people I miss most since leaving the UK as we can always have scarily honest conversations with each other and whenever we get together it's pretty funny and quite refreshing.

Anyway! I finallllllllyyyyyy arrived at our friend Nicole's house, just in time for the walk to buy some Crunk Juce (yes that's actually how it's spelt). We had planned to go out and we needed cheap alcohol to get the night started. I actually opted (once at the Off Licence) to try a Blue Raspberry Four Loko. I'd heard it was a less harsh version of Crunk and well, it kind of was, but only by a little.

We then managed to persuade one of our other friends DrunkenMatt (a nickname I have given him for years) to come out too - even though he had work the next morning. We were also joined by Nicole's boyfriend Jacko (who is the drummer in my best friend Dav's band, Bury Tomorrow). The music started, Rosie and I did our best Eminem and Dr Dre impressions and we put on great clothes and went out.

I chose to wear a black skirt [£7.99], black boob tube [£3.99] and black lace vest [£4.99] all from H&M. I wore my black studded Simple Minds shoes, [£75] from Office. I also wore my bronze Swallow necklace from eBay, my triple star bronze necklace, [£10] from TopShop and my bronze double finger set of stars, ring [£2.50] from Kukee. I also wore my triple set of singular rings together, all £1.50 each from Kukee (all rings seen in a previous post).

 I apologise

Simple Minds in my studded version and the floral version I missed out on

The night out was great. We went to my favourite club ‘Unit’ in Southampton, and I saw a lot of old faces and also three of my favourite people, Brombley and Dav who both DJ there, and Emma (Dav's fiancĂ©) who works as staff there. Nicole ended up going home a bit early, but Rosie, Matt and I stayed until about 2am. We walked back, got about five hours sleep and at 8am woke up to rain and hunger. We had to wait until a decent hour for any pubs to be open, but once 11.30am hit, we made our way down the street to one of my favourite places to eat in Southampton (if you're just looking for decent quick pub food), Vodka Revs. I couldn't help but order my favourite, the Mexican Chicken Nachos. And they were just as tasty as always. I also got a side of chips, but who's counting. I couldn't finish the mountain of food, but I did my best!

 "Death by Nachos"

We then all went our separate ways and I headed to Brombley's flat for lazing on the sofas. Later that day we picked up our friend Donna so that she could give me a haircut! I hadn't had my haircut for about four months which is unusual for me, so I was more than happy that my hair was getting a tidy. Brombley then bought Chinese and we had a night in watching movies (including Clueless) with a LOT of snoozing (on my part). The next morning I drove back home to my parent’s house and found that my new Vans had been delivered on the Saturday! They are my new favourite thing. I got them from Office as at the moment they are doing free delivery on all Vans. I also used a promo code, which (i think) was JULY15 which got me a further 15% off, so in total I bought my grey Cedar Anchor Vans [£33.99]. Absolute bargain for something so good looking, I think you'll agree. I will tell you now that this blog will be filled with many a post about shoes, as they are my favourite area of clothing. It's what I spend most of my money on - you have been warned!

 Love

    1. Crunk Juce is (I think) only available in Southampton. It comes off the ships from somewhere like Poland - although I am certain it's starting to get more around the country. They tried to ban it at one point (!) but I think the settled with them making it less percent (it was 12%). Vodka Revs food is just YUMMY. xx
